“I used them to tint the front door of my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, they were reliable, honest, communicative, and prompt. The quality of the work is excellent, and they clearly take pride in what they do.”

Film Options

Residential Film Types

Different rooms need different film. These are the types we install most on Long Island homes, all backed by a lifetime warranty.

Waterfront dining room with near-clear 70% ceramic window film on floor-to-ceiling glass

Ceramic Window Film

Our most requested film for living rooms, kitchens, and anywhere you want the heat gone but the view untouched. Ceramic film comes in near-clear shades like 70% down to a soft 35%, rejects a large share of infrared heat, cuts glare, and blocks up to 99% of UV without darkening the room. It's metal-free, so it won't interfere with cell or WiFi signal.

Colonial home with 15% dual reflective film giving the front windows a soft mirrored look from outside

Dual Reflective Film

Built for daytime privacy. From the outside your windows read as a soft mirror, which makes it hard for neighbors and passersby to see in during the day. Inside, the film is much lighter, so your view out stays clear and the house doesn't feel closed in. We've installed it in 15% and 25% on homes across Long Island.

Modern home with solar reflective film on its large windows, two NY Window Tinting vans parked outside

Solar Reflective Film

Built for the most sun-exposed glass in the house. A reflective exterior bounces solar energy off the glass before it enters the room, which makes it the go-to for west-facing walls of glass, sunrooms, and rooms you've given up on in summer. It adds one-way daytime privacy as well. We'll hold a sample against your own window before you commit to the look.

French pocket doors with frosted privacy film, glass translucent but still bright

Frosted Privacy Film

Full privacy with full light. Frosted film turns clear glass translucent, so bathroom windows, French doors, pocket doors, and front-door sidelights stay bright without giving anyone a view in. It gives you the etched-glass look without changing the glass itself, and a professional can usually remove it later if you change your mind.

Wavy textured decorative film on entry door glass

Decorative Film

Patterns and textures for glass that needs a little more than plain frost. Wavy and textured finishes add privacy and character to entry glass, sidelights, closet doors, and room dividers. Odd sizes and arched glass are not a problem.

Installer applying solar film to the glass roof panels of a sunroom

Skylight & Sunroom Film

Skylights and sunrooms take the most direct sun in the house and leak the most heat. We film skylights, sunroom glass, and pool-house doors right at your home, cutting each panel to size, so the room stays bright but usable through the summer instead of turning into a greenhouse.

Not sure which film fits your room? That's what the free in-home estimate is for.

Why Do I Need Window Tint?

Bright waterfront dining room with 70% ceramic film on floor-to-ceiling glass, heat rejected without darkening the room

Heat Rejection

  • Ceramic and reflective films reject most of the infrared heat that comes through your glass.
  • Keeps that one hot room, sunroom, or south-facing wall of windows noticeably cooler.
  • Helps cut how hard your AC has to work, easing cooling costs through the summer months.
  • Films are chosen for how much heat they stop, which is different from how dark they look.

Daytime Privacy

  • One of the most common requests we hear from homeowners on tighter lots.
  • Available as dual reflective, solar reflective, or frosted film, depending on how much privacy you want.

Glare Control

  • Cuts the glare that makes TVs and monitors hard to see during the day.
  • Reduces squinting and eye strain in home offices and living rooms with big windows.
  • Makes bright rooms more comfortable without losing natural light entirely.
  • Comes built into the same film as the heat and UV protection, so it is one install.

Dual Reflective Option

  • Used on real jobs with large glass walls, where homeowners built for the view and don't want to live behind blinds.
  • Strong exterior reflectivity during the day for privacy and extra heat rejection.
  • Stays clearer to look out through at night than standard mirror film, though like any reflective film it does not give privacy once your lights are on.
  • Best suited to sunrooms, walls of glass, and rooms facing the street or close neighbors.

Straight Answers

Residential Window Film FAQ

Will window film make my rooms dark?
Not unless you want it to. Ceramic films come in near-clear shades like 70% that cut heat and UV with almost no visible change. We bring samples to your estimate and hold them against your own glass so you pick the shade in your own light.
Does privacy film work at night?
Daytime privacy films work because it's brighter outside than inside. At night, with your lights on, that flips and reflective films lose most of their privacy. If you need privacy around the clock, frosted or decorative film is the honest answer, and we'll tell you that up front.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are finished in one day. Film is measured and cut at your home, so there's no waiting on a shop. A 60-panel house we did recently was completed in a single day.
Do you come to my area?
Yes. Home window film is an on-site service. We cover all of Nassau County, Suffolk County out to the Hamptons, and the five boroughs. There's nothing to drop off. We bring the film and the tools to you.
Can film go on double-pane or Low-E glass?
Usually, but not every film suits every glass. Some films are not suited to certain double-pane or Low-E units. We check the glass type at your estimate and recommend films that are suited to it.
Will the film peel, bubble, or damage the glass?
Professionally installed film bonds cleanly to the glass and is covered by our lifetime warranty. A professional can usually remove it later if your needs change.
How much does home window tinting cost?
It depends on the number of panes, the size of the glass, and the film you choose. That's why the estimate is free and done at your home, so the number you get is the real number.
Do I need to be home for the install?
Someone needs to let us in and walk us through which windows are being done. After that, we work around you. We clean the glass, keep the work area tidy, and leave the room the way we found it.
